* selections from the writings of Pushkin, Gogol, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Chekhov, Akhmatova, Bulgakov, Pasternak, and Solzhenitsyn
* music of Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Stravinski, and Scriabin
* the paintings of The Wanderers, and examples of Soviet Socialist Realistic art and
architecture * contemporary Russian cinema
Satisfies the Humanities elective in the General Education requirements
