Adobe Acrobat Download Instructions

1) Click on Reader button on course web page.

2) Once at the page with “Download Adobe Acrobat Reader” in big print at top,
        scroll down and fill out the information requested in Steps 1, 2 and 3.

       Step 1:  a) Language should be left ENGLISH.
                    b) Platform is the operating system on YOUR  computer….
                        ie. Windows 98, 95 or a Mac OS.
                    c) Location should be left at USA.

      Step 2:   a) Name is YOUR name
                    b) email address is YOUR email address
                    c) uncheck the two boxes at the bottom to prevent
                            solicitous email from Adobe.

      Step 3: Click the red DOWNLOAD flag at the top of the box.
                    The version and size information describes the program that
                        will be downloaded to your computer.

3) The site will now do one of two things:
        (a) A dialog box will open asking you where you want to save the file.
                If this happens, it is usually best to select the desktop
                from the drop down menu at the top of the dialog box (labeled
                “save in”). Then click “SAVE” button.
        (b) If you are using Netscape, SmartDownload program may
                download the file for you. If this happens BE SURE to notice the
                directory in which SmartDownload is putting the
                 file so you can locate it when the download is complete
                (Usually a directory called “MY DOWNLOADS”.

4)  The downloaded file called ar405eng.exe  should now be located either on
                your desktop or in the file you specified (or SmartDownload selected).

5) Double-click the file (ar405eng.exe). An automatic installation wizard will now
             assist you through the rest of the installation process!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!! That wasn’t so bad, huh?
