This class is basically a workshop, but here is a tentative syllabus of readings that will be discussed in class on a weekly basis. They are all taken from the course textbook: The Poet's Companion (referred to as PC here) by Kim Addonizio and Dorianne Laux. In addition, there will be weekly discussions of selected poems and poets that appeared the previous week on the Poetry Daily web page ( http://www.poems.com/ ).
