2010 Submission Deadline: to be announced

The Intel Science Talent Search (ISTS), America's oldest and most highly regarded pre-college science contest, provides a forum for America's high school science students to be recognized on a national level. Each year over 1500 students accept the challenge of completing an entry for the Intel Science Talent Search, with finalists competing for the top prize, a $100,000 scholarship.

In 2006 the ISTS stopped sending copies of the applications it receives to state directors for separate state-wide recognition. Therefore, we encourage teachers and students to send complete duplicates of the national ISTS application to the Arkansas Science Talent Search for review and possible reward. Applications will be judged by members of Arkansas' scientific community. Recognition and reward for the top three student projects will be sponsored by the Arkansas Academy of Science. Awards will be announced publicly at the Arkansas State Science Fair with first place receiving $100, second place receiving $50, and third place receiving $25. There will also be an opportunity for the top students to present their work during the Arkansas State Science Fair. Electronic announcements about the Arkansas State Talent Search will posted to the Arkansas K-16 Science Education Communication ListServ.
