-
Assignments
that are not properly labeled will not be graded.
-
Do not
email me your assignments unless you have been specifically
instructed to do so.
-
Always
back up your work on a storage device (CD/RW, flash drive,
floppy disk, or personal folder). I hate it when a candidate
loses his/her work, but I cannot grade what I do not have.
-
Regarding
printed projects or assignments: Always
place your work to be graded in my class “submit” basket, under
my office door (113 A), or leave it with the department
secretary. Do not hand it to me or lay it on my
desk.
-
Keep all
graded assignments and projects and their corresponding rubrics.
Place them behind the tab (in your portfolio) where you found
the project directions and rubrics.
-
All email
sent to me must be through your UCA cub account or through
WebCT—I cannot respond to any other email messages. Always key
your name and class period in the subject line. If you do
not receive a reply from me, I did not get your message. I
always respond in a timely manner. You should resend the message
or call me at 450-5848. If I am not in, please leave your name,
class period, and phone number.
-
I drop
students after the third consecutive absence without a call or
email from the student. When I drop a student, his/her grade is
always calculated up to the drop date--the points earned divided
by the points possible.
-
The
Deadline Dates for Projects and Assignments handout
outlines all in-class activities and lists all assignments with
their due dates. If you must miss a class, carefully review that
day's activities, but also ask the instructor or another student
if you missed anything else.
-
My
office door is always open to my students, but call or email to
schedule an appointment when possible. There are times when I am
not on campus.
-
Keep in
touch with your instructors—all of them.
