Active: Chicago beat Detroit.
Passive: Detroit was beaten by Chicago.
Active: Butch will whack the ball.
Passive: The ball will be whacked by Butch.
I. Write 5 SVO sentences. Then transform them into the passive.
II. Transform the following passive sentences back to active. Make sure to keep the tense the same. (Since the former subject appears as a prepositional phrase in a passive, it may have been dropped out; if so, you will need to create one with "someone." For ex.: My purse was stolen. º Someone stole my purse.)
