This
interdisciplinary workshop explores Japanese culture in
relation to contemporary social realities with the aim of helping college
and university instructors develop their ability to teach about this
important area of the world. It
will include presentations by experts in the field of Japanese Studies as
well as informal discussion of how to integrate insights from this
workshop into undergraduate, especially General Education, courses.
All who explore global issues in their courses are encouraged to
