    Students will be able to 

·        Apply a theory of meaning to explain a language problem

·        Explain how meaning develops from one stage to another

·        Explain how context affects meaning

·        Classify relationships associated with the meaning of words and sentences

·        Explain how metaphor affects our perception of the world
