October 10 Session

We will be examining some readings listed on page 141 of the Curriculum Topic Study Guide. In particular we will be looking at the readings under sections I., II, and III. Some of these resources are available online.

Here is a link to Science for All Americans. The reading on Patterns and Relationships begins on page 16 of Chapter 2.

Here is a link to Benchmarks for Science Literacy The reading on Patterns and Relationships is under section 2A. The sections to read are the general sections on patterns and relationships and the grade span essays that follow.

The NCTM Principles and Standards for School Mathematics are available online to members of the NCTM here. You have to log in - If you are not a member of NCTM, you can sign up for free access for 120 days. Since you have to log on, it is not possible to provide a link directly to the readings.

Beyond Numeracy is not available online.
