20% .... professional appearance with cover sheet, table of contents, and well-organized

10%   self-assessment (must include your score for the portfolio)

30% .... required pieces of evidence (5% deduction for each missing element) including the following with a brief rationale for all pieces of evidence included

TESS / Danielson Teaching Framework

Domain 1:
A – name, acronym, and general information of a professional organization
B – student issue in the news and brief personal response/rationale
C – a few pages of your state curriculum frameworks
D – graduation plan/checklist
E – sample lesson plan
F – licensure goal and full Praxis requirements

 

Domain 2:

A – description of activity to get to know your students

B - favorite quote

C – find a form used by teachers

D – locate or write a set of classroom rules

E – locate or create a classroom space

 

Domain 3:

A – write a lesson goal in your own words

B – write some classroom questions related to the above goal

C – describe a classroom activity related to the above goal

D – create a quiz related to the above goal

E – share why you want to become a teacher

 

Domain 4:

A – current article of the education profession and brief personal response/rationale

B - level one admission checklist for the teacher education program

C – code of ethics for teachers from ADE

D – UCA’s legal position of interns

E – registration form for a professional conference

F - fair use guidelines

20% ... at least 7 additional pieces of evidence (no component duplicated) organized with the elements above, matched to a specific component in the teaching framework, with a rationale for the correlation/match to the teaching framework .

20% ... final reflection for the portfolio related to the portfolio, the course in general, and/or the process of developing the portfolio.
