Article Reflection
How to find ASCD Educational Leadership (EL) articles using title or topic
- Login to myUCA.
- Click on the Library tab.
- Find Articles/Databases
- Academic Search Premier. (If not on campus, you need a library pin for access.)
- Type the article title or the topic in the first search box.
- Type “Educational Leadership” in the Publication box.
- Search.
Rubric for the article reflection
Read the article carefully. Include all of the following information in your typed reflection. Use essay formatting (complete sentences and paragraph organization) for all information other than name, title, journal, date of publication, and author(s).
Heading: your name, article title, authors, academic journal, date of publication.
- Contextual information: no more than four Key points made by the authors that resonate with you
- Analysis of the information could start with one of the following: 1)This article reinforced my understanding and/or beliefs about . . . 2) This article caused me to rethink my understanding and/or beliefs about . . . 3) Prior to reading this article, I did not know . . . .4) This helped me to understand ... from this course ... 5) This reminds me of an experience that I had ...
- Decision-making: How will you use what you’ve learned from the article in the future? Be specific.
