ASTL 6330 - National Board Class for Fall 2009
This course design is based on two key concepts: the architecture of teaching as designed by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards and action research methods and models. Collaboration is also a key component as participants will share information with the class to better internalize quality methods of action research. Participants will engage in systematic inquiry and reflection of their personal teaching context. One product of the course is a rough draft and associated video tape for a portfolio entry of the national certification process.
This semester will utilize WebCT and online learning. The number of Saturdays has been reduced from six to five to reflect the utilization of more work to be done and communicated electronically. Be prepared to have online assignments between Saturdays.
