Transition Metal Literature Study

These can all come from the same article or from four different articles if necessary.

Have your name in the file (if sent electronically)

I suggest pasting a picture from the chosen article of each complex you use.

1. One example of a complex with a metal in a six-coordinate octahedral geometry.

Be certain to specify: metal charge and dn count

2. One example of a complex with a metal in a four-coordinate tetrahedral geometry.

Be certain to specify: metal charge and dn count

3. One example of a complex with a metal in a four-coordinate square planar geometry.

Be certain to specify: metal charge and dn count

4. One example of a complex with a metal in a five-coordinate square pyramidal or trigonal bipyramidal geometry.

Be certain to specify: metal charge and dn count

          ACS journals (through Torreyson Library)

Chem. & Engineering News (an ACS publication)

Angewandte Chemie, International Edition, English (a leading European chemical journal)

Dalton Transactions (a top inorganic journal published in England by the Royal Society of Chemistry)

Each reference must                                  example  of one (yours will have four total)

·  be published in the current year

·  have the title of the article, including authors

·  have a complete citation:  Journal name, current year , volume, page(s).  You may also include the DOI number for quick referral.  Remember that ASAP articles must have the calendar date of their www posting.
