MY VISION
I intend to inject
students with my own enthusiasm for learning so that they are excited to come
to class. My hope is that students will
leave our class with greater confidence about their decision to teach and with
a sense of efficacy -- a belief that they can make a difference. I hope that the members of our class learn
to interact in a collegial manner with each individual feeling valued. Recognizing the need for continued
professional growth, a commitment to quality is evident in our work and
in our search for ways to become more effective teachers and learners.
Learning Outcomes for Students:
1. To develop your capacity to “think
like a teacher” through problem solving opportunities;
2. To strengthen your commitment to
facilitating student learning (greater efficacy); and
3. To increase your knowledge about
and self-confidence in effectively responding to various teaching challenges.
I desire
to help students become thoughtful teachers who care, challenge,
and communicate effectively.
