The type of new technology we found is a new Operating System called Mac OS X Leopard. This is of course a type of software. This new operating system is an improvement over their current system, the Mac OS X Tiger. This Operating System will introduce new features for using your computer.

The features that the new Mac OS X Leopard provide are good for the business world due to what they allow you to do. This new operating system is also a big step up for those who choose to use their computers for recreation. The features will make many of today’s usage needs even easier.

The new Operating System from Mac is the OS X Leopard version 10.5. It has a lot of new features that make the use of the computer easier for everyone who wishes to use one. The main features this operating system use are the Time Machine, Mail 3, iChat, Spaces, Dashboard, Spotlight, iCal, Accessibility, 64-Bit, and Core Animation. Each of these feature will make the everyday use of the computer easier.

The first feature mentioned is the Time Machine. This feature is a new way to backup everything you do on your PC. It starts on day one by backing up everything and allowing you to see a snap shot of every file saved and deleted since day one. It also features an automated backup system. You can set it and forget it. This feature also allows you to go back and restore deleted, replaced, or misplaced data of any form.

The next feature is mail feature, Mail3. This feature allows you to make every e-mail a memory by using professionally designed stationary or by creating your own. You can personalize your stationary with pictures and graphics of your choice. You can also make notes of what you need to remember by using the note and to do feature of Mail3. Another feature of Mail3 is its RSS Feed. You can always have the latest articles and blogs at your fingertips with this feature. It also provides an anti-phishing feature. This verifies that an e-mail came from where it said it came from, which will help in protecting your accounts from online predators.

Another feature is iChat. This feature will allow you to chat from anywhere, and any computer. It also allows you to use effects when you chat, with the built in feature of the Photo Booth. This feature also allows you to share and control other PCs. You can also use the Theatre feature in iChat to show presentations and pictures, which can allow for more convenient business and other types of meetings over long distances. It also allows you to use a Tab Interface when chatting. This will allow you to set different tabs for different kinds of chatting, like business, friends, class, etc.

This operating system also has a feature called Spaces. This feature allows you to create a different window or space for different types of  programs and activities. It allows you to see every space you create and to select one application and see which spaces you are using it in. It also allows you to set up your computer the way you want. Which makes the use of your computer that much easier.

The next feature is the Dashboard. It allows you to create website widgets, and with Dascode you can create your own widgets. If you use a Mac account your widgets can follow you from Mac to Mac so you are never without them.

The next feature is the Spotlight. This feature allows you to look for things such as files and programs on Mac computers other than your own. It also allows you to take quick looks at data rather than opening a whole program to look at the data. It also allows you to look for specific things you are looking for, such as a specific file or program. It uses Boolean operaters to do its searches.

The next feature is iCal. This feature allows you to post your calendar and let others contribute. It also lets you see your friends and staff members availability, share files for business and group meetings, and reserve things and spaces needed for meetings.

The next feature is the Accessibility. This feature makes your computer more user friendly not only for you, but for those with disabilities. It has voice-technology, Voiceover, allows for Braille support, and allows customization of audio output. It also allows you to search for things using the Voiceover.

The next feature is 64-Bit processor. This gives the one operating system 64-bits of power which is 3.0 GHz more processing power.

The last major feature is Core Animation. This allows for animation in all applications and takes the headache out of creating animation. It allows the creator to create complex animation while creating a start and goal space, which makes the animation process easier.

This operating system will help in the business world because of its many features and versatility. Some of the features such as iChat allow for more convenient business meetings and presentations, as well as allowing one person to control functions on more than one PC.  The feature of the Time Machine is also good for the business world because it allows retrieval of any lost, replaced, or misplaced data. This operating system will make the business world run smoother and faster. This operating system also allows for a program called Boot Camp which allows it to load other operating systems into leopard.

In conclusion this software will not only make the business world  run smoother but better. It will also help those who are less knowledgeable at using a computer. This operating system is going to make the use of the computer easier for all.
