In academic departments, there are often discussions as to whether those with neat offices, or those with cluttered offices, are the most productive. As the owner of notably cluttered offices, I offer the standard that I strive to attain:
The office is owned by noted polymath Jack Good. Good was a key member of the code breaking group at Bletchley Park in the second world War. Born in 1916, author of approximately 1000 technical articles, Good now resides in Blacksburg Virginia, after retiring from Virgina Tech. Good's office contains the results of a lifetime of thinking. The photograph below was taken in 1999. For further information about Good see J.A.N. Lee's biography at Virginia Tech.
