Ledoux Professor of Film in the Communication Arts Department at the University
of Wisconsin-Madison. He is an internationally recognized film scholar, whose recent books include The Cinema of Eisenstein (Harvard University Press, 1993), with Kristin Thompson Film History: An Introduction (McGraw-Hill, 1994). He is co-editor with Noel Carroll of Post Theory: Reconstructing Film Studies (University of Wisconsin Press, 1996) and author of On the History of Film Style (Harvard University Press, 1998). |
