Travelling to the Film & Television Academy (HFF) „Konrad Wolf“ in
Potsdam-Babelsberg

Station Griebnitzsee
The Film & Television Academy (HFF) “Konrad Wolf” is located near the urban rail station (SBahn)
Griebnitzsee. Griebnitzsee is between Berlin and Potsdam near Wannsee. Here stops
the S-Bahn number 7. From the train station you can reach the HFF on foot in approx. 15
minutes. Follow Prof.-Dr.-Helmert-Straße and turn left into August-Bebel-Straße. After
approx. 400 meters you have to turn right into Marlene-Dietrich-Allee. After approx. 500
meters you will see the HFF-building on the right-hand side. Or take the 694 bus in the
direction of Potsdam, Stern-Center and travel one stop to “Stahnsdorfer Str./August-Bebel-
Str.”. After crossing Stahnsdorfer Str. you have to turn right into Marlene-Dietrich-Allee. After
approx. 500 meters you will see the HFF-building on the right-hand side.
Tickets
To travel from Berlin to Potsdam, you have to buy a ticket at the ticket machines located at
all train, metro (U-Bahn), and urban rail (S-Bahn) stations. The fare zone you need will be
“Berlin ABC” and it costs 2,60 Euro, one way. Please be sure you have enough change for
the ticket machines, which also take 5, 10, and 20 Euro banknotes.

Exact connections and journey times you can see at
http://www.bvg.de/index.php/en/Bvg/Start. Enter “Flughafen Tegel (Berlin)”, “S Flughafen
Berlin-Schönefeld DB”, “U Platz der Luftbrücke” (for Tempelhof) or “Berlin Hauptbahnhof” for
Berlin Central Station as the point of departure and “S Griebnitzsee” or “Potsdam,
Stahnsdorfer Str./August-Bebel-Str.” as the destination.
By Plane
If you are arriving in Berlin by air, you will land at Tegel (TXL), Tempelhof (THF) or
Schönefeld (SFX). You only have to change twice from all three airports to get directly to the
HFF. You should plan about an hour’s journey time.
Tegel Airport
Coming from Tegel, the best thing is to take the 109 bus in the direction of S+U Zoologischer
Garten. It runs at regular intervals and will bring you to the S Charlottenburg. Then take the
S-Bahn S 7 in the direction of Potsdam Central Station (Hbf.) and disembark at Griebnitzsee.
Take the 694 bus in the direction of Potsdam, Stern-Center travelling one stop (approx. 2
mins.) to “Stahnsdorfer Str./August-Bebel-Str.”. After crossing Stahnsdorfer Str. you have to
turn right into Marlene-Dietrich-Allee. After approx. 500 meters you will see the HFF-building
on the right-hand side.
Tempelhof Airport
Arriving in Tempelhof, the best thing is to go to the metro station (U-Bahn) “Platz der
Luftbrücke” and take the U6 in the direction of Alt-Tegel as far as the Friedrichstraße S-Bahn
station. From there, you should then take the S-Bahn S 7 in the direction of Potsdam Central
Station (Hbf.). Disembark at Griebnitzsee and take the 694 bus in the direction of Potsdam,
Stern-Center travelling one stop (approx. 2 mins.) to the stop at “Stahnsdorfer Str./August-
Bebel-Str.”. After crossing Stahnsdorfer Str. you have to turn right into Marlene-Dietrich-
Allee. After approx. 500 meters you will see the HFF-building on the right-hand side.
Schönefeld Airport
Coming from Schönefeld, you can take the S 45 S-Bahn in the direction of the
Gesundbrunnen station as far as the Schöneberg S-Bahn station and then change to S 1 in
the direction of Wannsee. Change at Wannsee to the S-Bahn S 7 in the direction of Potsdam
Central Station (Hbf.) and disembark at Griebnitzsee. Take the 694 bus in the direction of
Potsdam, Stern-Center travelling one stop (approx. 2 mins.) to the stop at “Stahnsdorfer
Str./August-Bebel-Str.”. After crossing Stahnsdorfer Str. you have to turn right into Marlene-
Dietrich-Allee. After approx. 500 meters you will see the HFF-building on the right-hand side.
By Train
Via Potsdam
If you are coming by train, disembark in Potsdam if your train has a scheduled stop here.
From the Potsdam train station you simply take the 694 bus in the direction Griebnitzsee Süd
to the stop at “Stahnsdorfer Str./August-Bebel-Str.”. After crossing Stahnsdorfer Str. you
have to turn right into Marlene-Dietrich-Allee. After approx. 500 meters you will see the HFFbuilding
on the right-hand side.
Via Berlin
Otherwise, travel as far as Berlin Hauptbahnhof station. From there, you should take the SBahn
S 7 in the direction of Potsdam Central Station (Hbf.) and disembark at Griebnitzsee.
From here take the 694 bus in the direction of Potsdam, Stern-Center and travel one stop to
“Stahnsdorfer Str./August-Bebel-Str.”. After crossing Stahnsdorfer Str. you have to turn right
into Marlene-Dietrich-Allee. After approx. 500 meters you will see the HFF-building on the
right-hand side.
By Car
To get to the HFF from Berlin, you should take the A115 autobahn as far as the Potsdam-
Babelsberg exit. Then follow Nuthestraße in the direction of the town center as far as the
Wetzlarer Straße exit (Medienstadt Babelsberg), turn right past the BMW car salesroom and
then left in the direction of Babelsberg. Pass over the next crossroads
(Großbeerenstraße/Wetzlarer Straße) into August-Bebel-Straße. After another 600 meters
turn left into Marlene-Dietrich-Allee. After approx. 500 meters you will see the HFF-building
