Same latitude, same position! If you were in NYC, obviously the sun would not rise and set at the same instant in both locations. Turkey is 6 or 7 hours (depending on daylight savings time) ahead of New York, but whatever the position of the sun was in Turkey, it will be the same 6 hours later for New York. It's when you move longitudinally (N or S) that the altitude of the sun above the horizon will change.
