Mars just came out of retrograde! It was in retrograde from 04/17/16 through 06/30/16. Technically, on the date shown above, Mars would have been moving from east to west (towards Spica). Go out tonight (and tomorrow, and tomorrow), and Mars will be moving prograde (west to east towards Antares). NASA shows you all about it!
