True and false: Venus and Uranus are typically listed as having retrograde rotation, or looking like they spin the opposite direction. However, this is not because they developed having a spin in the other direction! Venus was literally toppled over, and it's almost perfectly upside down. It spins the same way as it always has, but at some point got itself knocked over (plenty of evidence for enormous collisions in the early days of the solar system!). Uranus took a hit s well, but it only got knocked sideways. It is almost perfectly on its side, with its rotation axis in the plane of the ecliptic instead of perpendicular (like the rest of the gang).
